How to register a business in Morocco (2026)

For a solo activity with modest turnover, auto-entrepreneur status is the simplest: register online with the national register (RNAE), then file at Barid Al-Maghrib, with no trade register or bookkeeping. For an SARL or single-member SARL, everything goes through OMPIC's DirectEntreprise platform, via an authorised professional.

Checked on 2026-10-28. Rules change: confirm with the official office before paying.

  2. Auto-entrepreneur: fill in the registration request online on the national register portal (rn.ae.gov.ma) using an email address.
  3. Print and sign the request, then file it within 30 days at Barid Al-Maghrib or a partner bank with a photo and ID.
  4. SARL: reserve the trade name (OMPIC negative certificate) online on DirectEntreprise.
  5. Find a registered office (lease or domiciliation) and draft articles of association signed by all partners.
  6. Hand the file to a notary, lawyer, chartered or licensed accountant registered on DirectEntreprise.
  7. The platform handles registration of deeds, business tax and tax ID, trade register, CNSS affiliation and Official Bulletin publication.

Watch out

Check that your trade is not excluded from auto-entrepreneur status and watch the ceilings: exceeding MAD 500,000 (trade) or MAD 200,000 (services) two years in a row ends the status. For services, above MAD 80,000 a year from one client, the excess is taxed at source. For an SARL, compare professionals' fees.
